Faber-Castell Handheld Pencil Sharpener  I'm always having to sharpen my pencils - so annoying but what can you do? I found a terrific hand-held pencil sharpener that really does the job. It's put out by Faber-Castell. This sharpener has 3-holes, so you can sharpen just about every size pencil you may have - from wide Conté pencils to regular graphite. And the point you get is the best you can get for the price - under $5.
I use Prismacolor color pencils and watercolor pencils, along with an assortment of graphite. I was using another hand-held sharpener but wasn't getting the nice sharp point that I wanted and needed. The Faber-Castell Trio sharpener gives me a great point every time. And, because the shavings are held in a reservoir, if the sharpener tips over you won't have to dust up all the shavings! A big plus in my book! Sometimes I'll sketch in the living room and have my supplies laid out on the coffee table. Our dog, well ... let's just say that she can clear a coffee table with a single wag of her tail.
The single hole in the top is for colored pencils - you get a perfectly pointed color pencil - no kidding!
The bottom has two holes - larger for jumbo pencils (not really good on flat pencils). The smaller hole is for graphite pencils. This is the first sharpener that has put a good point on my larger Conté pencils.
I know most people don't think about using a handheld pencil sharpener, especially since electric sharpeners are so plentiful. But for a little coin you can get one terrific handheld sharpener - this one ranks #1 with me.
